The entrance to the Data Processing lobby from the right side promotes a right-to-left experience of the artwork. Each panel represents a different era in Utah history. Although separated, the panels are connected through visual pattern and color. A low horizon crosses the bottom fifth of each panel, introducing a sky saturated with historical events.

“INDIAN” PANEL
At the horizon, remnants of an ancient Indian village still stand. In the sky rest two Indian figures. The top Indian presents petroglyphs, stone paintings of hunted animals, records of ancestry, and religious ceremony. The bottom Indian figure removes the chaff from the harvested seed with a winnowing basket. The petroglyphs and seed present a direction into the Pioneer panel.
